The superintendent is responsible for developing and administering procedures for the temporary closing of a school because of inclement weather or any other unforeseen occurrence which presents a threat to the safety of students, staff or property. The superintendent is responsible for ensuring that all who are interested, including parents and the news media, are notified as soon as feasible.
